What's in a Name?

Apollo_PA.jpg

Our name has dual meaning. It is both a nod to our origins and a symbol of who we are and what we stand for.

In 1912, Sterling G. McNees, the co-founder of McNees Wallace and Nurick, began his law career in Apollo, Pa. – a tiny borough in Armstrong County, about 35 miles east of Pittsburgh. We thought it fitting to name our company after the town where it all began. Apollo was the launchpad for McNees, and more than a century later, it is now our namesake for the latest chapter of the McNees legacy.

Apollo is also one of the most revered figures in Greco-Roman mythology. Among other attributes, he was viewed as the god of sun, light, knowledge and reason. Fitting, since Apollo Communications is founded upon the principles of honesty, transparency and professional excellence.
